SHOOTING UPDATE
REWARD FOR SHOOTING OFFENDERS CAPTURE:
Society Hill Civic Association is partnering with the Citizens' Crime Commission to issue a reward for the arrest and conviction of two offenders who assaulted and shot an innocent man on the 400 Pine block on Monday, Nov. 7, at 11:22 PM. This is one of the worst crimes we have encountered in Society Hill in recent years. It is believed to have been a random crime which means it could have happened to anyone of us. The victim is still in critical condition in the hospital.
The Citizens' Crime Commission can help us deter crime in Society Hill. SHCA will offer a reward to anyone who can help in the arrest and conviction of these offenders. We have already raised $7500 through neighborhood contributions, plus $10,000 from two anonymous donors. The CCC will provide all of the publicity to spread the word via TV, news media, and poster dissemination. The video of the crime has been widely circulated and most likely there are people who recognize the attackers but are not coming forward. This reward might be just the incentive for someone to come forward to identify them. We need to let any prospective offenders know that we here in Society Hill are not going to be victims.
We need your help! Time is of the essence. Please consider making a contribution of any amount to SHCA Reward Fund. If after a designated time, no one comes forward with information leading to the arrest and conviction, the funds will be returned to the donors.
